About

I’m an independent curator and art strategist working at the intersection of art, culture, and emerging technologies. I advise museums, cultural organisations, and companies on creative collaborations, cultural programming, and strategic development within the evolving fields of art, technology, and Web3. Since 2018, I’ve been actively involved in the art-and-blockchain space, including founding the Art Research Department at the blockchain foundation Department of Decentralization, and continue to explore how new technologies can expand artistic practice and cultural engagement.

I have a strong interest in the sustainability of the art world and the cultural workforce through nascent technologies. I’ve written two reports on the intersection of blockchain and art - There is No Such Thing as Blockchain Art (2019) and Wanderer Above a Sea of FUD: Cultural Workforce, Crypto-anarchism, Intellectual Rights, and Blockchain-based Funding Models for Culture and Arts (2021). The first report has been referred to as one of “two key publications exploring [blockchain’s possibilities and limitations] across varied cultural domains.“

During my career, I’ve worked with a wide variety of cultural and arts organisations and museums, such as the Bundeskunsthalle, Kristianstads konsthall, MoCDA - Museum of Contemporary Digital Art, Berliner Volksbank and artists such as Hito Steyerl, Jakob Kudsk Steensen, Jonas Lund, and Joan Heemskerk (JODI).

I’ve been on the International Selection Committee for the Lumen Prize since 2021, advising them on the longlist for moving image and immersive environment.
